Stash Report - Week 32

Where has the summer gone?  It's the beginning of the second week of August.  School has started in Tucson - the remaining two districts start this week.  It's hot, humid and the monsoon hasn't been very good in this area of Tucson.  I visited two quilt shops this week and came home with some Thangles for half square triangles.  I did pretty good!  Here's my numbers:

Fabric Added:  0 yards
Fabric Used:  3.50 yards
YTD Added:  4 yards
YTD Used:  359.75
Stash Used:  355.75

One more spool of thread was used, bringing the total to 25 spools for the year, and none purchased!

I finally started the Rocket Man quilt for the youngest great nephew.  The pattern is from Fat Cat Patterns.    Here's block one that I completed Thursday night.  My applique is all needle turned - the second block is ready for the face shield, boots and gloves - four of these blocks will make the corners.

My goal for the week is to get the remaining three corners completed and the space ships started. The entire quilt will be needle turned and then hand quilted.  I have some sewing for the family to do, and will try to do that during the afternoon and work on the quilt during the evenings.

Check out Judy's blog to see how others are doing.  Have a great sewing week!!!
