It's been a good week in the sewing room - thanks to heat, humidity and monsoon rain!! My numbers:
Fabric Added: 0 yards
Fabric Used: 25.25 yards
YTD Added: 4 yards
YTD Used: 401.00 yards
Stash Used: 397.00
I completed 83 fabric wallets for donation or my DIL, whichever comes first, one toy elephant for donation, one bag for the Bags for Kids Project, and I have thirteen yards of fabric pulled out to take up to Kokopelli Quilts in Casa Grande, Arizona for the Cancer Quilts for Native Americans project. The ladies that make those quilts will use whatever is donated - they will even use seasonal fabrics!! I have quite a bit of Halloween fabrics that I will never use - so that's in the bag to go. My Rocket Man Quilt is coming along - I am on block 7 - another rocket ship. I am appliqueing this quilt - needle turning is my choice for applique so it is taking me longer. I have embroidered two faces for toy elephants, but the fabric was counted previously.
I am pleased that my sewing room is starting to look neater - I haven't gotten into the closet yet - I know it is full of fabric, as is the closet in my laundry room. And, then there are the ties I have collected, haven't used, and probably will never use. Those will come out and go up to the ladies for the cancer quilts.
I still haven't reached my goal for fabric used for the year, but am getting closer! Four months to go --- more fabric to use. Check out Judy's blog to see how everyone else is doing. Have a wonderful week!!!
Holy Hannah! You've almost busted 400 yards! Congratulations!
