Finally!!!! I finished the binding on the Rocket Man Quilt this week, and also used fabric. It was the first time in a month that I actually sat at the sewing machine and enjoyed myself! This weeks report::

I am working on UFO #6. I took a class about six years ago to learn how to needle turn applique. I finished the four blocks at that time, but did nothing with them. They were #6 on the list and out they have come. Instead of making the wall hanging - I have taken the blocks and assembled them and added six borders - and it will become a baby quilt for donation. I'm pleased - no picture yet, but soon. I want to sandwich it today and then I will start hand quilting. I found enough flannel for four baby quilts in my stash, so yesterday when I was cutting the batting, I cut the batting for those baby quilts. I'll be ready to hand quilt for weeks now!!
I'm also doing the monochromatic quilt challenge. I wasn't thrilled with yellow - thinking I don't have any yellow. Well, when I went through the stash, I have more than enough yellow to make a quilt top - I think a twin size. I am going to use Bonnie Hunter's Stash X pattern - it should use a lot of the scraps up and it will make a bright cheerful quilt. Thanks, Judy!!! :)
Check out Judy's blog to see how we are all doing! I'm with Judy - she'd like to be knitting on her scarf, and I'd like to be knitting on my socks! Ah, so many projects, so little time........... See you next week!
Two wonderful ideas on using UFOs and challenges.
